Human beings share an inherent need to belong—to ourselves, to others, and to life itself. Feeling at home in this world is our birthright. When a sense of belonging is disrupted, or even shattered, we can live in exile—-afraid and angry, lonely and despairing. How do we find our way back to belonging? Or create a sense of belonging we’ve never known? In this talk I will share stories from my difficult path to belonging and key lessons I learned along the way.
Living in survival mode for sustained periods of time is unhealthy and stressful for us. Once we get triggered, we can find ourselves stuck in patterned thoughts and behaviors, not knowing how to shift into feeling better.
In this workshop we will learn how to outsmart our survival brains in three practical and immediate ways. Be prepared to interact with others and to actively try new ways of responding to your survival brain!
